Local Lady GODIVA Honoree Shari Caffrey celebrates the 4th Annual RACE 2 CURE PH
Saturday, May 11th is a very special day for Shari Caffrey, mother of beautiful twin girls and Local Lady GODIVA Honoree, as she rallies the community of Anaheim, CA together to run for a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension. The fact that May 11th is also Mother’s Day will make the day extra meaningful. Shari lost her daughter Taylor Caffrey to Pulmonary Hypertension at the tender age of 4 ½ years old. Through the unbelievable pain and grief a mother has when losing a child, Shari found the strength to not only go on but dedicate her life to finding a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension. On Mother’s Day, she will honor her daughter and help other mother’s and families around the country never go through the pain of losing a child to Pulmonary Hypertension by raising thousands of dollars for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
The RACE 2 CURE PH - Taylor Caffrey Memorial 5K Run/Walk is in its 4th year and has raised over $100,000 for Pulmonary Hypertension research. The 5k event brings together the friends, family and community touched by Taylor and her story. Together they will celebrate what it means to have strength and love of life – as Taylor did.
